August 21- King George Middle School- Join us for a viewing of this powerful documentary followed by a panel discussion; all viewings are from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., light refreshments will be offered.
In an effort to combat the growing epidemic of prescription drugs and heroin abuse, the FBI and DEA released ā€œChasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict.ā€ This documentary was filmed in part at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. Following the viewing, a discussion about the crisis and what individuals and families can do to prevent their loves ones from becoming addicted. The panel will be comprised of representatives from local law enforcement, community mental health, local treatment providers, physicians, the health district, persons of lived experience, and the DEA.

The viewings are free and open to the public
